We spoke to the dynamic duo behind 1503 Property Group Ltd, an international affiliate of Savills, about their journey into owning the fastest-growing brokerage in CIREBA and the current real estate market.
RG: It all started as a funny conversation that Jill and I had standing on the side of the road, of all places! We happened to be neighbours and we were also doing many of our deals together.
JD: We had what felt like a unique ability to collaborate and get things done for our clients. We just figured if we could do that from independent brokerages, imagine what we could accomplish if we took our style of teamwork and created our
JD: We both take high touch customer service so seriously. We also know that we can’t be in multiple places at the same time. We knew instinctively that if our interests were wholly aligned and that we were running a true partnership based on teamwork, all of our clients’ needs could be serviced seamlessly.
RG: By ensuring that there are always two people servicing the clients, you know that you can always reach us, no sick days, no vacations, no excuses, no matter what.
RL: What do you think the future holds for the CI real estate market?
RG: I think the future is very bright! But not just the future of real estate, Cayman’s future in general, we feel incredibly privileged to call Cayman home.
JD: We’re very bullish about the future of the real estate market, and we’re grateful for the leadership that has led Cayman from strength to strength. As countries worldwide are forced to move into more onerous tax regimes to cover the stimulus required through the pandemic, Cayman continues to provide a safe haven in more ways than one.
RL: Tell us a little about the current real estate market in Cayman, and what advice would you give to buyers and sellers?
JD: Despite closed borders and a mandatory quarantine, the market is strong, but inventory is extremely low. My best advice would be, if you’re a property owner and you’ve been thinking about selling, call us!
