With such a busy working-week, my weekend is usually about getting away from it all at the beach with friends on Rose Island, or taking a cooler of beverages and bait for a boat trip to the breathtaking Exuma Cays - dinner will be at the end of a line! Music plays a big part in my life, so jammin' with fellow local musicians at La Hippica, a great laid-back bar and grill set amongst stables in western New Providence, is the perfect way to end a chilled out Sunday.

There is always so much to do that I find my weekends to be a busy mix between family and personal time. Saturdays are usually spent gardening and visiting my favourite nurseries, Vigoro and Power Flower, while Sunday mornings are strictly reserved for church. Then it's Sunday lunch, which is either a home-cooked meal or a visit to one of our favourite eateries: Kaibo, Tukka, Lighthouse Club or Ms. Vivine's Kitchen. Then off to the beach for a game of dominoes - it's the perfect end to my weekend.

Every second and last Sunday in St. Thomas is an opportunity to enjoy local flavours and organic produce at the Bordeaux Farmers Market. I also relish lazy days exploring with my husband and son on our speedboat. We love to drop anchor and picnic on the island of Hans Lollick or relax on our favourite St. John beach, Little Cinnamon Bay. When the boys are out snorkelling, I usually beachcomb, gathering new ideas for my art and jewellery designs. Nature and the sea are my muses.

We live at Capoon's Bay, on the beach overlooking the Apple Bay surf break. My perfect day starts with an early morning walk with Mobi, our hound, watching surfers catching the breaks and ends with a wonderful local dinner of curry crusted grouper at Da Coal Pot in Apple Bay. At weekends we may sneak down to Rogues Bay or one of the other 'off the beaten track' north shore beaches for a bbq with friends and have the beach to ourselves. It's a tough life in Paradise.
