REAL LIFE 24 Hours in Camana Bay. A vibrant town stretching from the famous Seven Mile Beach to the tranquil North Sound, Camana Bay is Grand Cayman’s newest hotspot.
At the heart of Camana Bay is a bustling Town Centre where Caribbean-inspired architecture, breezy walkways, outdoor gathering spaces and lush landscaping surround a myriad of amenities, including world-class shopping and dining, unique attractions, regular community events and a variety of health and fitness services.
SHOP
With an eclectic mix of international brands and local retailers, it’s no wonder that Camana Bay has emerged as Cayman’s top shopping destination. Browse the stores and discover the latest fashions for men, women and children, luxury skincare and cosmetics lines, stylish home décor and accessories, the island’s largest selection of books, children’s toys and crafts, and so much more.
DINE
Endless culinary delights await at Camana Bay. Savour contemporary fare at Abacus where patio seating invites you to dine alfresco and local bands perform live every Friday night. Enjoy simple, fresh dishes at Michael’s Genuine, a relaxed bistro helmed by James Beard award winner Michael Schwartz. For Caribbean cuisine, head to Ortanique where celebrated Miami chef Cindy Hutson puts a modern slant on traditional favourites. Or if you are looking for something quick and tasty, try Black Trumpet Gourmet Delicatessen or Café del Sol.
CAMANA WAY
Originating near Seven Mile Beach, Camana Way is a 30- foot wide landscaped boulevard populated with over 100 different native and indigenous plant species. Along the route leading from West Bay Road to the Town Centre is a botanical journey through five of Grand Cayman’s distinct ecosystems, each separated by stone-paved ‘garden rooms’ that offer moments for relaxation. A pocket-sized field guide to Camana Way is available to purchase from Books & Books in the Town Centre.
FARMERS MARKET
Real Food, Real Farmers, Real Community! Every Wednesday, Camana Bay’s Farmers Market offers visitors a real taste of Cayman. Local vendors from across the island fill their booths with fresh fruits and vegetables, all natural baked goods and juices, homemade seasonings and jams, handmade thatch crafts and jewellery, delicious food including fried fish and fritters, and much more. Enjoy the satisfaction of buying fresh and supporting Cayman’s merchants.
THE OBSERVATION TOWER
One of the islands’ tallest structures, The Observation Tower offers 360-degree views of Grand Cayman. Just as impressive as the outlook is the journey to get there via a double helix staircase, climbing alongside a floor-to-ceiling mosaic depicting Cayman’s reefs and marine life. The undersea mosaic is one of the largest installations of its kind in the world and evokes the
sensation of ascending a deep-sea dive from seabed to surface.
OUTDOOR SPACES
From quiet courtyards with calming water features to lively parks featuring interactive fountains, Camana Bay’s outdoor spaces are perfect for a peaceful retreat or fun in the sun. Take a coffee break in Gardenia, Canella or Cassia Court where gentle water sounds and shady trees create secluded sanctuaries. Looking for more excitement? Frolic in the fountains at Jasmine Court and The Crescent where colourful lights and dancing waters delight children of all ages.
HEALTH & FITNESS
Camana Bay promotes a healthy lifestyle with a range of fitness options that make exercise enjoyable. Unwind with waterfront yoga, bond with your newborn at BabyBuggyFit, join a group exercise class at Anytime Fitness, play basketball, football, tennis and swim at the Camana Bay Sports Complex or enjoy picturesque surroundings while jogging through the pedestrian-friendly Town Centre.
